Pascal Languirand, the creative mastermind behind iconic ‘80s electronic band Trans-X, has been a pioneering force in music for over 4 decades now. Beginning with the massively popular electro-pop single, the high energy masterpiece “Living On Video,” which became a worldwide phenomenon in the ‘80s, Languirand has built a diverse and massively influential catalog of albums, singles, and remixes, both under his own name as well as under the Trans-X moniker. Having relocated to the gorgeous country of Mexico, Languirand embarked on a number of collaborative projects with local artists including the 2016 feature length documentary film Discolocos, for which Languirand contributed music and also stars in. Music from that film is included in Trans-X’s newest album, the brilliant Dreams Are Made Of Fantasies, which also includes remixes by another of Languirand’s collaborators from Mexico, the super talented DJ Ramón Serratos. Dreams also include a special guest appearance by Apoptygma Berzerk leader Stephan Groth as well as Italo Disco producer Mirko Hirsch. But the centerpiece of the album, and its namesake, is the brilliant new song “Dreams Are Made Of Fantasies” that plays like an ‘80s chart-topping hit from an alternate timeline of the universe.

The song’s history lends credence to this theory as Languirand himself proclaims, “I wrote ‘Dreams Are Made Of Fantasies’ while living in Los Angeles in 1987 but until now I had never recorded it. It is one of my personal favorites!”

Dreams Are Made Of Fantasies is available now on all digital platforms!
