For fans of gothic-industrial music, there\u2019s no bigger Halloween anthem than Al Jourgensen\u2019s ode to the weirdos and outcasts who \u201clook so absurd\u2026so obscene\u201d because they\u2019re \u201cdressed like it\u2019s Halloween.\u201d Originally released in 1984, the single lingered in the underground slowly finding its audience among the goth community whose black fishnets, lacey bustiers and heavy eyeliner shocked and frightened mainstream society. Since that time, of course, both gothic music and fashion has been largely accepted influencing artists and designers the world over, and yet Jourgensen\u2019s anthem continues to inspire trailblazers and freethinkers of all stripes to let their freak flag fly on not just Halloween but every day!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Today, unearthed from studio tapes, Cleopatra Records is proud to usher in two never before released mixes of Ministry\u2019s electro-pop masterpiece. Entitled\u00a0Everyday (Is Halloween – The Lost Mixes<\/em>, this 4 track EP features extended and hypnotic versions of the title track, versions that foreshadow the industrial direction that Jourgensen was heading in.
