Seminal avant-punk collective\u00a0CRASS<\/strong>\u00a0has revealed a new\u00a0video for\u00a0\u201cSheep Farming 3,\u201d a previously unreleased track available on the\u00a0Best Before 1984 (Crassical Collection)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0reissue, out October 30 in North America via One Little Independent Records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The video is available now, exclusively via\u00a0Rolling Stone<\/em>\u00a0at\u00a0https:\/\/www.rollingstone.com\/music\/music-news\/crass-sheep-farming-in-the-falklands-alternate-1068274\/.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


\u201cA previously unreleased version of \u2018Sheep Farming in the Falklands\u2019 written and produced sometime after hostilities had ceased<\/em>,\u201d<\/em>\u00a0explains\u00a0CRASS<\/strong>\u00a0member Penny Rimbaud.\u00a0\u201cThe first listener to send us the lyrics in full will be handsomely rewarded. I\u2019ve tried, but despite having written them, I still can\u2019t get it word for word.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n


The\u00a0Crassical Collection\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>includes\u00a0CRASS<\/strong>\u2019 entire legendary catalog, restored from the original analogue studio tapes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The\u00a0Crassical Collection<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0includes\u00a0Stations of the Crass<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(1979),\u00a0Feeding of the Five Thousand (The Second Sitting)<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(1981),\u00a0Penis Envy<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(1981),\u00a0Christ \u2013 The Album<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(1982),\u00a0Yes Sir, I Will<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(1983),\u00a0Ten Notes on a Summer\u2019s Day<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(1986) and\u00a0Best Before 1984<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0(1986). Each of the records have been repackaged and bolstered by rare and unreleased tracks, and stunning new artwork from Gee Vaucher, who has lovingly created what could only be considered a true artifact.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The band\u2019s first six albums include two CDs, with the first disc being the main album remastered by Alex Gordon at Abbey Road Studios and the second being a mixture of rare live and remastered studio recordings. Each package also includes a fold-out poster and a high-quality 60-page booklet featuring all lyrics along with extensive liner notes from band members Penny Rimbaud and Steve Ignorant, which shed light on the making of the records.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


The\u00a0Best Before 1984Crassical Collection<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0is brand-new and has also been remastered and features five fold-out posters and a 52-page booklet.

Leading up to the release of the\u00a0Crassical Collection<\/strong>,\u00a0CRASS<\/strong>\u00a0has embarked on the ambitious\u00a0The Feeding of the Five Thousand Remix Project<\/strong>. Beginning in late 2019,\u00a0CRASS<\/strong>\u00a0took the step of making the original separate track stems of their seminal debut album\u00a0The Feeding of the Five Thousand<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0available as a free download. With a call to take the original 16 track recording in its pre-mix state, the intent was for people to create their own remixes and interpretations and breathe fresh life and ideas into this revolutionary music.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The resulting\u00a0Normal Never Was<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0series has just released its third installment, featuring remixes by legendary producer\u00a0Steve Aoki<\/strong>\u00a0and Japanese outsider musician\u00a0Mikado Koko<\/strong>. All proceeds from the\u00a0Normal Never Was<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0series are being donated to the Refuge charity (www.refuge.org.uk<\/a>).\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
