The first track to be taken from upcoming new album ‘Something On Me<\/em><\/strong>‘, due out on 9th October.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snowy White is one of a handful of classic blues-orientated British electric guitar players – musicians whose sound, technique and style has echoed the originality of the blues with the excitement of contemporary rock.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He has developed his own style of \u2018English\u2019 blues, a combination of clear, clean blues phrases and harder-edged riffs that are a recognisable feature of his very personal songs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n


In the seventies he toured the east coast of America, getting as far south as New Orleans and discovering that he thoroughly enjoyed being \u2018on the road\u2019. He had by then become friendly with the now legendary English blues guitarist Peter Green and they spent a lot of time jamming together. In the Autumn of 1976 he was invited to tour America and Europe with Pink Floyd as their first augmenting musician, a gig which took up most of his time throughout 1977. In 1978, the band\u2019s keyboard player Rick Wright asked him to play guitar on his solo album, entitled \u2018Wet Dream\u2019, which he recorded in the South of France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 1979, Peter Green decided to head for the studio once more and invited Snowy and his band along to jam. The result was the album entitled \u2018In the Skies\u2019, now something of a collector\u2019s item.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He was then asked by Pink Floyd to go to America to rehearse their new show entitled \u2018The Wall\u2019, and, at the same time, the rock band Thin Lizzy invited him to become a full-time member. So after the completion of the Floyds\u2019 US dates he returned to England and went straight into the studio to record his first Thin Lizzy album \u2018Chinatown\u2019. Snowy stayed with the band for nearly three years of touring, recording \u2018Renegade\u2019 with them in 1982, before leaving to pursue his solo career.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snowy\u2019s first solo album was entitled \u2018White Flames\u2019. This album included the timeless \u2018Bird of Paradise\u2019, written by Snowy, which became a hit single around the world. In 1987, he put together a blues-orientated outfit, the Blues Agency, recording two albums, \u2018Change My Life\u2019 and \u2018Open For Business\u2019. Between 1993 and 2000, he toured and recorded with two brilliant Dutch-Indonesian musicians, Juan van Emmerloot (drums\/percussion) and Walter Latupeirissa (bass and rhythm guitar). As The White Flames they recorded a string of albums, including \u2018No Faith Required\u2019, \u2018Restless\u2019, \u2018The Way It Is\u2019 and \u2018Realistic\u2019, and performed all over Europe. In later times the band was augmented by Max Middleton on keyboards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Every year from1999 to 2014 Snowy toured the world with Roger Waters, including the \u2018The Dark Side Of The Moon\u2019 and massive \u2018The Wall\u2019 tour. In between tours, he founded the Snowy White Blues Project, recording the albums \u2018In Our Time Of Living\u2019 and \u2018In Our Time\u2026Live\u2019.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Snowy\u2019s most recent album, \u2018The Situation\u2019 came out in 2018.
His latest offering, \u2018Something On Me<\/strong>\u2019, due out on 9th October 2020, features Thomas White on drums, Rowan Bassett on bass and appearances by various The White Flames members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
