“Since re-forming in 2005, the scorching troika of J Mascis, Lou Barlow and Murph have astonished all who dared doubt their late ’90s vintage gnarl could have retained every ounce of its power,” declares MOJO Magazine, and this show would prove to be no different. J and the boys sound as tight as ever as they blaze through classic songs like “Freak Scene,” “Let It Ride,” and “Pond Song,” and finish the set with a fan singing on the emotionally draining “Don’t.”<\/p>\n

MVD Entertainment Group, an industry leader in producing and distributing music-related audiovisual content, launched the In the Hands of the Fans series with the intention of utilizing the energy and talents of fans who, by means of an online video submission contest, win the opportunity to film a performance of their favorite band in HD and then interview the band members after the performance. The result is a high quality, low cost, unique program that is part concert film and part reality TV show.<\/p>\n
