Like a siren\u2019s call, Bette Smith\u2019s beautifully rich, soulful singing voice has not only attracted the attention of music critics from such prestigious publications as Billboard, Rolling Stone and The New York Times as well as fans from all over the globe, but it has also attracted some extremely talented musicians. Earlier this year, celebrated blues guitarist Kirk Fletcher joined Smith on her version of \u201cDance Monkey,\u201d and now Minneapolis music legend Jesse Johnson has partnered with Smith for a brand new recording of Maroon 5\u2019s \u201cMemories.\u201d Johnson, whose tenure as lead guitarist with The Time had him collaborating with The Purple One (Prince) and later Janet Jackson, Paula Abdul and many others, lays down a superb retro, guitar-driven groove, weaving in tasteful, shimmering guitar licks in between Smith\u2019s confident singing.
