Produced by Dave Fridmann and The Flaming Lips,&nbsp;<strong>\u201cFlowers of Neptune 6\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong>reflects the gentler side of The Lips paisley&nbsp;oeuvre&nbsp;and melodically flows downstream into a welcoming wormhole of wistful summer pop. The track is accompanied by a video filmed in their hometown of Oklahoma City and directed by Wayne Coyne and George Salisbury. Click<strong>&nbsp;<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/urldefense.com\/v3\/__https:\/youtu.be\/kxUXT6nEYFY__;!!GFJHfw!wV57bvY0bx1zjMtr-OrxGiB_d-iPZYD-2XrBVezVEPRGw4fKzFD4Ofrh-twXehQ$\">HERE<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;to watch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Wayne Coyne<\/strong>\u00a0of\u00a0<strong>The Flaming Lips<\/strong>\u00a0explains the new track:\u00a0<strong>\u201c\u2019Flowers Of Neptune 6\u2019\u00a0<\/strong>track started off as a very evocative series of melodies that\u00a0Steven\u00a0[Drozd]\u00a0had woven together. The first time he played it for me I was stunned by its emotional flow. The three sections (well they seem like sections to me) seemed to hint at an older, mature mind reflecting back into a journey from younger innocence then starting to\u00a0learn and understand and keeps going into the panic of becoming one with the world. The opening lyric\u00a0<em>\u2018Yellow sun is going down so slow&#8230;Doing acid and watching the light-bugs glow like tiny spaceships in a row&#8230;\u2019<\/em>\u00a0\u00a0is the coolest thing I\u2019ll ever know&#8230;and is a combination of blissful, innocent, psychedelic experiences that\u00a0Steven\u00a0and\u00a0<strong>Kacey Musgraves<\/strong>\u00a0(she sings harmony with me on the track) and myself all discussed.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cFlowers of Neptune 6\u201d&nbsp;<\/strong>is the first new music from The Lips since 2019\u2019s internationally acclaimed&nbsp;<strong><em>King\u2019s Mouth Music And Songs<\/em><\/strong>.
