In the world of Rock,\u00a0GILBY CLARKE<\/strong>\u00a0needs no introduction. From crunching legendary chords on his beloved Gibson Guitar in the stadiums with\u00a0Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/strong>, to getting down into the\u00a0Snakepit\u00a0<\/strong>to with his GNR buddy\u00a0Slash<\/strong>, gracing our TV Screens on the widely watched rock reality show\u00a0Rockstar: Supernova\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>or creating pure, heartfelt rock music as a solo artist\u00a0GILBY CLARKE<\/strong>\u00a0has done it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gilby<\/strong> recently released his latest single \u2018Rock n\u2019 Roll Is Getting Louder\u2019<\/strong> via Golden Robot Record and now Gilby has now released the video for \u2018Rock n\u2019 Roll Is Getting Louder\u2019. <\/strong>The video was shot inPalmdale CA and Downtown Los Angeles and band performance footage in Hollywood club Oh My Ribs!<\/strong> It was directed by Christopher C. Pearson.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gilby\u2019s <\/strong>live band membersBass Player, EJ Curse<\/strong> (Silent Rage, White Lion) and Drummer, Jimmy D\u2019Anda<\/strong> (Bullet Boys, George Lynch) both appear in the clip along with some great cameo\u2019s by Slim Jim Phantom<\/strong> (Stray Cats), Taime Downe<\/strong>  (Faster Pussycat), Jimmy Herald<\/strong> (Hillbilly Herald) and Teddy ‘Zig Zag’ Andreadis<\/strong> (formally of Guns N\u2019 Roses, Carole King, Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Alice Cooper)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u2018Rock n\u2019 Roll Is Getting Louder\u2019 <\/strong>is true stormer of a track in pure Gilby fashion. It is pure rock n\u2019 roll doused in the influences that run through Gilby\u2019s veins. It is a track that is set to become a true anthem and long-time fan favourite. Do we dare say it is an instant classic?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

GILBY CLARKE<\/strong> has played in both Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/strong> and The MC5.<\/strong> Who else can claim membership in two of the most life-altering and influential rock \u2019n\u2019 roll outfits to ever exist on the planet?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But none of that overshadows the fact this guitarist, singer and songwriter was a 17-year-old punk from Cleveland whose Hollywood dues were paid in full. Before joining the Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/strong> circus, Gilby was Kim Fowley\u2019s<\/strong> go-to session guitarist and ghost writer. After playing with Hollywood bands Candy <\/strong>and Kill For Thrills<\/strong> a late-night call from Slash changed everything. Gilby joined Guns in \u201991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He appeared on the band\u2019s Spaghetti Incident, Live Era \u201988-\u201991<\/em><\/strong>and The Greatest Hits<\/em><\/strong>albums. Gilby spent years on the Use Your Illusion<\/strong> tour in the 90s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Guns imploded, armed only with his Les Paul, Gilby went back and launched his solo career. Receiving critical winks for his albums Pawnshop Guitars<\/em>, The Hangover<\/em>, Rubber<\/em>, 99 Live<\/em><\/strong>and Swag.<\/em><\/strong>Recording and\/or touring over the lean years with Nancy Sinatra, Heart, The MC5<\/strong> & his old bandmate Slash\u2019s Snakepit,<\/strong> Gilby even snuck in videos with GNR<\/strong>, Michael Jackson<\/strong> and Fall Out Boy<\/strong> when MTV was de rigeur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clarke currently splits his services with Kings of Chaos<\/strong> led by Matt Sorum<\/strong> and an all-star alumni that has featured Steven Tyler, Joe Elliot<\/strong> and Gene Simmons<\/strong> and his solo band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clarke, who\u2019s an old school mash-up of Keef, Johnny Thunders,<\/strong> and B.B. King<\/strong>, continues to write fist-jacking rock \u2019n\u2019 roll songs with fat choruses, and appear on stages around the globe. He produces worthy bands too. He\u2019s also one of the sweetest gents you\u2019ll ever meet.
