(PHILADELPHIA, PA) Jon Anderson, the voice of the rock group Yes for many years, has once again stepped up to help the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia (CSCP) by providing the soundtrack for the organization\u2019s 2011 electronic holiday card.<\/p>\n
<\/p>\n
\u00a0The e-card, designed by Lauren Keswick and Scott Bluebond and produced by Keswick (www.medicalartstudio.com<\/a>) was distributed today to the cancer support organization\u2019s friends, supporters, members, donors and others and is available at www.cancersupport-phila.org<\/a>. The card shows images from events and programs from the past year.<\/p>\n The song used for the e-card is called \u201cGive Hope\u201d and was originally released as a bonus track on the 22nd anniversary reissue of Anderson\u2019s fourth solo album, the holiday-themed 3 Ships. This reissue contained five tracks not included on the original release from 1985 including this song. The original music for this song was by Narada Michael Walden and it was developed by Christophe Lebled. CSCP marketing and communications director Scott Bluebond was listening to the track recently and thought it would make an excellent accompaniment to his organization\u2019s holiday e-card this year. He approached Anderson\u2019s publicist, Billy James of Glass Onyon PR, who quickly was given the \u201cOK\u201d from Anderson.<\/p>\n This is not the first time Jon Anderson has assisted the organization. Earlier this year, he signed a guitar on NBC 10\u2019s The 10! Show that CSCP auctioned off at their annual \u201cEvening in the Yard\u201d gala in May. The guitar, donated by Bluebond Guitars and Music School, fetched $700 and was taken home by CSCP supporter and Yes fan Dr. Danny Schwartz.<\/p>\n Jon Anderson used the song \u201cGive Hope\u201d for his own holiday e-card sent out to media, friends and supporters this year as well. It has proven to be a very popular song to evoke the holiday spirit. Says Bluebond: \u201cGiving hope is something the members at the Cancer Support Community of Philadelphia are provided free year-round. We thought the song was a great fit for us. We are thrilled that Jon Anderson has helped us out again this year. His music has entertained so many for so long, and to be able to use it for our holiday card this year was extra special.
