In the world of Rock, GILBY CLARKE<\/strong> needs no introduction. From crunching legendary chords on his beloved Gibson Guitar in the stadiums with Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/strong>, to getting down into the Snakepit <\/strong>to with his GNR buddy Slash<\/strong>, gracing our TV Screens on the widely watched rock reality show Rockstar: Supernova <\/em><\/strong>or creating pure, heartfelt rock music as a solo artist GILBY CLARKE<\/strong> has done it all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Now Gilby<\/strong> has released his brand-new single \u2018Rock n\u2019 Roll Is Getting Louder\u2019<\/strong> via Golden Robot Records. \u2018Rock n\u2019 Roll Is Getting Louder\u2019 <\/strong>is true stormer of a track in pure Gilby fashion. It is pure rock n\u2019 roll doused in the influences that run through Gilby\u2019s veins. It is a track that is set to become a true anthem and long-time fan favourite. GILBY CLARKE<\/strong>\u00a0has played in both\u00a0Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0The MC5.<\/strong>\u00a0Who else can claim membership in two of the most life-altering and influential rock \u2019n\u2019 roll outfits to ever exist on the planet? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

But none of that overshadows the fact this guitarist, singer and songwriter was a 17-year-old punk from Cleveland whose Hollywood dues were paid in full. Before joining the Guns N\u2019 Roses<\/strong> circus, Gilby was Kim Fowley\u2019s<\/strong> go-to session guitarist and ghost writer. After playing with Hollywood bands Candy <\/strong>and Kill For Thrills<\/strong> a late-night call from Slash changed everything. Gilby joined Guns in \u201991.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He appeared on the band\u2019s Spaghetti Incident, Live Era \u201988-\u201991<\/em><\/strong>and The Greatest Hits<\/em><\/strong>albums. Gilby spent years on the Use Your Illusion<\/strong> tour in the 90s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After Guns imploded, armed only with his Les Paul, Gilby went back and launched his solo career. Receiving critical winks for his albums Pawnshop Guitars<\/em>, The Hangover<\/em>, Rubber<\/em>, 99 Live<\/em><\/strong>and Swag.<\/em><\/strong>Recording and\/or touring over the lean years with Nancy Sinatra, Heart, The MC5<\/strong> & his old bandmate Slash\u2019s Snakepit,<\/strong> Gilby even snuck in videos with GNR<\/strong>,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michael Jackson<\/strong> and Fall Out Boy<\/strong> when MTV was de rigeur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clarke currently splits his services with Kings of Chaos<\/strong> led by Matt Sorum<\/strong> and an all-star alumni that has featured Steven Tyler, Joe Elliot<\/strong> and Gene Simmons<\/strong> and his solo band.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Clarke, who\u2019s an old school mash-up of\u00a0Keef, Johnny Thunders,<\/strong>\u00a0and\u00a0B.B. King<\/strong>, continues to write fist-jacking rock \u2019n\u2019 roll songs with fat choruses, and appear on stages around the globe. He produces worthy bands too. He\u2019s also one of the sweetest gents you\u2019ll ever meet. He\u2019s a guitar hero, certainly,\u00a0but also a gentleman whose heart happens to rush at rock \u2019n\u2019 roll speed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
