I like to compare Necrophaze to the movie Creepshow, as if every song is a different part of the story. This is the first part of the story and it cuts straight to the bone. Being a collector of both media and toys, <strong>WEDNESDAY 13<\/strong> was inspired by a craving for variety to create dual album artwork for this release (seen below). The covers showcase either end of the horror spectrum with a \u201c<strong>Creepshow<\/strong>\u201d comic book vibe for the LP artwork, and the eeriness of something akin to <strong>John Carpenter\u2019s \u201cThe Fog\u201d<\/strong> adorning the CD.<br><br><strong>\u00bbNecrophaze\u00ab <\/strong>was recorded by <strong>Michael Spreitzer<\/strong>, producer, recording engineer, as well as the long time guitarist of <strong>DEVILDRIVER<\/strong>, and is the first <strong>WEDNESDAY 13<\/strong> record to feature guest spots, which include performances by <strong>Alice Cooper, Roy Mayorga<\/strong> of <strong>STONE SOUR<\/strong> (who provides an eerie, authentic, 80s inspired synth soundtrack-score to the album), <strong>Alexi Laiho<\/strong> of <strong>CHILDREN OF BODOM<\/strong>, and <strong>Cristina Scabbia<\/strong> of <strong>LACUNA COIL<\/strong>.
