And legends don\u2019t come any bigger than Yes keyboard wizard \u2013 songwriter \u2013 producer \u2013 TV and radio presenter and author Rick Wakeman<\/strong>. With 90 solo albums to his name, Rick continues to lead the way in British prog, having released his latest creation \u201cPiano Odyssey\u201d in 2018.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We are humbly honoured to welcome a genuine rock icon to HRH Prog IX and Rick is bringing his full band to the two venues next March \u2013 the O2 Academy in Sheffield and the prestigious Shepherds Bush Empire in London \u2013 so expect a set brim full of music from a career spanning 6 decades plus perhaps progressive takes on a rock classic or two.  We honestly can\u2019t wait for this.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second headliner is none other than Mr Hawkwind himself \u2013\u00a0Dave Brock<\/strong>.\u00a0 This \u201cAudience With\u201d set delves into a vault of music and stories we can only describe as \u201cBrockworld\u201d. From the busking and banter from the dawn of Hawkwind to playing some gems from his 6 solo albums, which have never really seen a live audience to moving into unchartered Hawkwind territory, this is a must for all true Hawkwind & Prog fans alike.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As if two legends of rock aren\u2019t enough \u2013 two more huge names in prog are heading to HRH Prog IX.  We have John Lees\u2019 Barclay James Harvest<\/strong> who are continuing to carry the torch for the band that released no less than 10 albums in the 1970s, featuring the trademark Mellotron keyboard sound beloved of many a progressive rock fan.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Focus<\/strong> fly in from Holland to join us next March.  Best known of course for their 1971 hit \u201cHocus Pocus\u201d, the guys are still very much active having released their latest album \u201cFocus 11\u201d earlier this year to critical acclaim.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

All the way from Lithuana, and making a return to HRH Prog, are The Skys<\/strong>.  Having released their latest \u2013 and brilliant – album \u201cAutomatic Minds\u201d just a few weeks ago we can\u2019t wait to see Jonas and the guys again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also announced for HRH Prog IX are German\u2019s The Spacelords<\/strong> who bring their wonderful space rock set to London and Sheffield.  Nth Ascension<\/strong> have caught the prog community\u2019s attention with their latest album \u201cStranger Than Fiction\u201d released this May and we can\u2019t wait to welcome them to the HRH family.  French based Franck Carducci<\/strong> makes his HRH Prog debut \u2013 and lists Pink Floyd, Genesis and Supertramp amongst his influences \u2013 perfect for us! Bram Stoker<\/strong> are having a resurgence having been best known for their 1972 prog epic \u201cHeavy Rock Spectacular\u201d.  The Room<\/strong> will feature their new line-up \u2013 currently making waves with their latest release \u201cCaught by the Machine.\u201d Cambridge based psych-space rockers Psychic Lemon<\/strong> round out the incredible line-up for HRH Prog IX.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

HRH Prog 8 at Shepherds Bush Empire Sold out in 4 weeks and Sheffield in 4 months after it was added.
