The title will be issued on LP\/CD\/DL via Primal Beat Records on May 17. Its nine party-starting songs are anchored by indelible melodies, heartfelt vocals, powerful musicianship, and a steadfast sense of community. The album was produced and engineered by <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=1e4d5f7af3&amp;e=3fa8732dab\" target=\"_blank\">Paul Miner<\/a>.\u00a0<br><br> Although frontman Greg Antista has known each of his band members for decades, the Lonely Streets have only been in existence for a year, having played their first gig on February 23, 2018 at Gallagher\u2019s Pub in Huntington Beach. The lineup is comprised of Antista (lead vocals, songwriter, guitar), Jessica Kaczmarek (lead guitar, backing vocals, mandolin, piano), Warren Renfrow (bass), and Jorge E. Disguster (drums, backing vocals). The members\u2019 previous group affiliations are extensive: Antista (Joyride, Foxy), Kaczmarek (The Busstop Hurricanes, Russell Scott &amp; the Hot Rods, Bourbon Jones), Renfrow (<a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=df78b62bd8&amp;e=3fa8732dab\" target=\"_blank\">Cadillac Tramps<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=b109ea5b12&amp;e=3fa8732dab\" target=\"_blank\">Manic Hispanic<\/a>, <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=139f8e8c57&amp;e=3fa8732dab\" target=\"_blank\">Final Conflict<\/a>, and tours with Adolescents and the Damned, among others), Disguster (Mr. Mirainga, D.I., Mink Daggers, CoDependents, Disguster).\u00a0<br><br> The joyous, colorful album cover art for\u00a0<em>Shake, Stomp and Stumble\u00a0<\/em>\u2014 which depicts a pair of rockabilly skeletons in full swing dancing abandon \u2014 was designed by Louis Perez III, the son of the famed Los Lobos songwriter\/instrumentalist who shares the same name. The image and logo design evoke the rich Hispanic culture of Southern California, a heritage shared by three members of the Lonely Streets. \u201cEven though the Lonely Streets don\u2019t sing any songs in Spanish, it feels perfectly natural playing with bands that do,\u201d says Antista. \u201cThe album art is a great visual expression of our music.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<br><br> The goal with\u00a0<em>Shake, Stomp and Stumble\u00a0<\/em>was to make its sound, style and stories quintessentially reflect the group\u2019s home base of Fullerton in Orange County. The album provides a snapshot of those lucky enough to have survived the punk rock explosion of the 1980s. Drugs, alcohol, and tales of heart-breaking Latinas \u2014 with just a touch of nihilism sprinkled on top \u2014 aren\u2019t the sum total of the experience, but they certainly mark the milestones and are relatable topics from which to draw inspiration.\u00a0<br><br> In 1979, Antista was classmates with members of then-fledgling punk acts \u00a0Adolescents, Agent Orange and Social Distortion at Troy High School. He especially became fast friends with <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=b7e42f1266&amp;e=3fa8732dab\" target=\"_blank\">Steve Soto<\/a> (Adolescents, Agent Orange) with whom he would later form the band Joyride. The two remained close up until Soto\u2019s death last year at the age of 54. In tribute, the Lonely Streets\u2019 sole cover on the new LP is a sweet, melancholic take on Soto\u2019s 2016 tune, \u201cForever.\u201d<br><br> Elsewhere, the album focuses attention on a pair of relationships that have gone off the rails (\u201cGoodnight Ramona,\u201d \u201cCarmelita\u201d) and offers up a tribute to a fallen heroine from the hit AMC series\u00a0<em>Hell on Wheels\u00a0<\/em>(\u201cThey Killed Lily Bell\u201d). Live favorite \u201cU-Haul\u201d finds a jilted lover showing up with the cops at her ex\u2019s doorstep, while \u201cNasty Weather\u201d suggests the best way to combat life\u2019s ups and downs is by holding close the ones you love. Taking an approach similar to the Ramones or Buzzcocks, these mini-epics of angst and despair arrive with a sugarcoating \u2014 the sentiments are delivered in the form of concise pure pop nuggets, wrapped in singalong choruses and spry rhythms. The semi-comedic \u201cU-Haul\u201d wouldn\u2019t feel out of place next to \u201cThe KKK Took My Baby Away\u201d on the Ramones\u2019\u00a0<em>Pleasant Dreams\u00a0<\/em>and Jessica Kaczmarek\u2019s breathlessly careening guitar solo on \u201cCarmelita\u201d recalls the power pop heights of Blondie\u2019s\u00a0<em>Parallel Lines<\/em>. Kaczmarek is <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/primemovermedia.us15.list-manage.com\/track\/click?u=70376abbfc415ff1272f3d931&amp;id=a9adde9f71&amp;e=3fa8732dab\" target=\"_blank\">endorsed by Gretsch Guitars<\/a>.<br><br> The lyrics to the ferocious rocker \u201cShiver\u201d provide the album with its title and \u201cFinally Say Goodbye\u201d is described by Antista as \u201ca three-minute hip-shakin\u2019 celebration of one door closing and another opening in this life.\u201d<br><br> The album\u2019s most poignant entry is \u201cBeat Down and Broken,\u201d a track Antista admits he wrote upon hitting a personal low point in his life, but which can easily be interpreted as a statement on his native SoCal\u2019s long-standing homeless crisis: \u201cUsed up all my lifelines, there\u2019s no one left to call \/ The ones who care, don\u2019t care to see just how far you fall \/ The Thunderbird she\u2019s come to rest in this Chevron parking lot, there goes the last friend that I\u2019ve got.\u201d\u00a0\u00a0<br><br> As for the band name, Antista says \u201c\u2019Lonely\u2019 is just one of those words that has always evoked emotion in me.
